Today I helped two chefs, the first one was about pig skin and lard and beans. Even though I couldn't eat it I enjoyed helping. The next one, Jenkpork, I enjoyed alot, I loved how they set up their food and talking to the people. Honestly I just loved it and it was great for me to come today. - Chef Lubna
Today was amazing! I was extremely busy because I worked in the busiest stand. I made tortillas with pa los santos restaurant located on union street between 4th and 5th ave. The employees were really nice and they let me use a cool tortilla presser. The smell of pork was amazing, definitely a good experience. -Chef Andrea
Pig Island was an amazing experience, I enjoyed helping otu a chef at their booth. I tried a couple of dishes from other booths and got pretty full but they were really good. At our booth we made a braised cabbage with apples which I liked. It was good to have something light to eat. I really liked being at governor's island again and I have a lot of fun at social events of these kind. - Chef Ayerine
Even though I couldn't eat any of the food I enjoyed cooking in the vegetarian section. It wa a blast and we raised $800 for our cause. -Chef Fatimah
Pig island was a fun day we got to help cook the pork for Jimmy 43 restaurant. There were alot of vendors with great food. My favorite food were the pork tacos they were amazing, its like pork heaven. We also raised alot of money for Teen Battle Chefs. -Chef Marielis
So today we went to governor's island for the pig island event. My friend Marielis and I helped out Jimmys 43. After we finished helping we walked around and tried the food and I gotta say this was the best food ever!!! - Chef Fernando
Today made me really take this cooking career seriously. I love that I got this opportunity to work aside a pro chef and he was very down to earth and I loved the jerked pork that he was serving. Everyone loved the dish. I never thought I would say this but I'm full lol. - Chef Michael
